Can I access my paid professional development leave entitlement?
You may also be able to access paid professional development leave under your EBA (you can download yours via the member portal). Put your request in writing to your manager with the date, number of day/s and type of CPD activity you'll be undertaking (e.g. ANMF Health & Environmental Sustainability Conference). You need to give at least 6 weeks' notice, and some employers require 8 weeks for rosters.
Your employer must notify you in writing whether your leave request is approved or denied within seven days. Your application will be approved by your employer unless there's exceptional circumstances that justify non-approval which must be stated in their communication. If you have any further queries, contact Member Assistance.
Attend our Wellness Conference and add to your CPD hours!
Why not prioritise your wellbeing and make it two days of learning? Register to also attend the ANMF/NMHPV Nurses and Midwives Wellness Conference on Friday 29 August for a total of 15 hours.
